Halloween is every child’s favorite time of year, filled with plenty of sugar, spooks, and scares. But, when it comes to costumes, doesn’t it seem that the requests have become more and more elaborate as each season passes? So, we’re going back to the basics this year with plenty of getups—no needles, glue, or assembly required! Take the stress out of Halloween with our 15 dress-up classics, below, and and get your camera ready to snap photos of your tiny trick-or-treaters!

I am truly disappointed in this slideshow of costume ideas for children. I’m sure many of your readers can afford a costume with a price tag of 100+ dollars; I however find that absolutely absurd. There are many costumes available within a wider representation of price points. Not every tutu based costume needs to be purchased from Tutu Dumond, by the way! What about options around the twenty five to thirty dollar price range? What about Target, The Land of Nod, Carter’s or the option to rent from a costume shop? What about the idea of using glow in the dark skeleton jammies as a costume for a toddler? I mean, it has bothered me over the course of these last 3-4 years that there isn’t a more realistic price point on your slide-shows, but this takes the cake. Not to mention, which I am obviously mentioning, a more creative or imaginative list of costume ideas!
