Meet Dannijo’s New Mama Designer

When your big break includes Beyoncé, you know you’re doing something right. Such is the case with the sister-sister designing duo, Danielle Snyder and Jodie Snyder Morel, of Dannijo. That aforementioned break came in 2008 when Queen Bey wore Dannijo baubles and there on out the rest of the world began following suit, making the Snyder sisters’ creations the instantly recognizable sparklers we see today. It’s been a sweet ride for fans to follow the ladies through a multitude of successes over the years, especially with the littlest gem to enter the family fold: Jodie’s daughter, Margaux. Here, we get personal with the new mama in her cozy and curated NYC apartment.

- "This is my third apartment in the building. I've lived here for the last 6 years." Jodie wears J Brand jeans and a Dannijo necklace. Margaux wears a Petit Bateu top and Osh Kosh overalls.

- "Cozy and fun. The dreamcatcher was custom made by Spoke Woven. The crib is Kalon Studios. The Indian chief image is by Jenna Snyder Phillips, and the rocking chair is Nursery Works. The lamb rocker is Povl Kjer. The neon lambs are from Yoya."

- "I love how cozy, soft, and calming the space feels. I love the art, stuffed animals, and touches of sheepskin. I also like the color palette—white and grey with touches of hot pink."

- "It should have a personal touch. I like to find things on my travels and at antique markets, so I'm constantly adding new pieces to our space."

- "I'm much more on a schedule. Every minute counts, so I've learned to be more efficient with my time. Everything has to be planned out, so I'm not as spontaneous as I was before becoming a mom. I also function on a lot less sleep. There's nothing better than becoming a mother, so it's all worth it."

- "The unconditional love for her from the second she was born. How my life instantaneously changed, and I can't remember what life was like before having Margaux."

- "I'm excited to watch her grow up and enjoy every step along the way."

- "My husband is French, so we wanted a name that was French, but you could say in English, as well, and we both loved the name Margaux. Her middle name is Grace, which was my grandmother's name."

- "The incredible bond between us. The way she looks at me in the morning when she wakes up or when I come home from work. I can't get enough of the big smile on her face when she sees me."

- "Every day is a bit different, but her favorite part of the day is being outside. She loves going on long walks."

- "I love antique shopping and have found some amazing pieces at Brimfield. I also love to collect art and have some great Bert Sterns of Marilyn Monroe and Jean Shrimpton. I am very into Margaux's room right now, especially the pool kier rocking sheep and Jenna Snyder Phillips' giraffe painting."

- "I drink a lot of water and love using VMV coconut oil. I apply it to my face before bed. I also wear red lipstick when I look very tired, so it brightens up my face."

- "I'm a big online shopper. I shop a lot on Net-a-Porter and Shopbop. I love to shop for vintage in person.”

- "Beyoncé bought one of our first necklaces from Bergdorf Goodman in 2008 and wore it all over the world. It was great exposure for us since we were new and unknown at the time. The necklace was a huge statement necklace and it got picked up by a lot of magazines and helped create buzz about our brand."

- "I want my time to be as efficient as possible when I'm at work, so I can spend any extra time with Margaux."

- "It's not easy, but we have a wonderful nanny who takes care of Margaux when I'm working. I try to be home as much as possible and always be with her first thing in the morning and for bath time and bedtime."

- "I love everything about my job, but most of all that I get to work with my sister everyday." Margaux wears a Stella McCartney onesie.

- "I love that she's exposed to so many different things and that we can walk almost anywhere."
