If you’re a Madewell fan-slash-addict, then today’s profile will certainly delight. The covetable brand’s head of design, Joyce Lee, opened up the doors to her Williamsburg, Brooklyn home for us. Below, she shows us around her color-, light-, and texture-filled space, while talking about style (interiors and sartorial), the ups and downs of parenting a toddler (Poppy, 3), and adding to her family come January with her baby boy on the way.

Love her style. Where is that mustard blanket from on Poppy’s bed?

I love this home and it seems like a very loving family. But I’m confused to still see teepees featured as a design element and play place in modern homes without any reference to the spiritual element. It would be weird if we used other religious symbols for play like it was just a cute thing, but that’s what has happened in the past few years with the teepee. I noticed some smaller teepee figures in the room too, so maybe that’s what this family has done, talk about the history of teepees and their deep spiritual significance to Native American tribes.
