Nashville has been booming with new eateries, late-night hot spots, and tourist attractions. So, who better to take us around town other than singer-songwriter, mother, and wife (to Kings of Leon’s Nathan Followill), Jessie Baylin, one of the “Queens” of Nashvegas?!

Where are your favorite places to…

Eat with the kids? “Sunday Brunch at Margot in East Nashville. This has become a family tradition for us whenever we’re in town. Violet had her first brunch here at 4 weeks old.”

Eat with adults? City House is our go-to spot for dinner. Chef Tandy Wilson makes pizza as good as I’ve had in Naples (in my humble opinion).”

Something sweet? “Leland Riggan’s Caramel Cake. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but this cake would make me fight someone for a piece. Sold at the shop or at Firefly in Green Hills. Another option would be Las Paletas’ avocado popsicle, or any of its popsicles for that matter!”

Shop for kids? Tweed Baby Outfitters. By far the most well-curated baby shop in Nashville.”

Shop for yourself? H. Audrey Boutique for clothing, Ash Blue for home accessories.”

Thrift? Wonders On Woodland is a great place to find Mid-Century home furnishings and cocktail jewelry. It’s owned by two of Nashville’s sweetest people, Wayne and Debbie Goodwyn.”

Play with your child? The jungle gym at the Zoo. We just became members here because it’s such a fun place for both kids and adults. We plan on spending at least one day a week at the Zoo.”

Play with your adult friends? “Down on Broadway at Roberts Western World. Cheap cocktails, beers, and fried bologna sandwiches. What more does a grown woman need?”

Get out in nature? Radnor Lake. An oasis in Nashville and a stone’s throw from our house.”

Peruse museums? The Frist is always surprising me with the exhibitions they’re bringing to our growing city.”
