Halloween is just a few weeks away, and if your household is anything like ours, the thought of what everyone is going to “be” is a constant conversation topic. According to the National Retail Federation, $9.1 billion will be spent on Halloween this year, and $3.4B of that chunk will be spent on costumes (while $2.7B will be spent on candy, $2.7B on decorations, and $.4B on greeting cards).

So, what costumes are the majority of Americans shelling out for this year (i.e. how original will your get-up be once you’re out trick-or-treating with the masses?). Trend-trackers forecast the following Top 10 outfits for children, adults, and pets, respectively.

Note that for the second year in a row, superheroes have beat out the formerly uber-popular “princess” as top costume for kids. (Read about that original turn of the tide right here.) And Wonder Woman will be out in full-force for both adults and children’s costumes.
