We love seeing new brands come to life…especially when one of those brands is built by two mothers whom we admire. Such is the case with See Sun, the brainchild of Mother favorite Jen Garrido and textile designer/illustrator/author Lena Corwin.

After meeting through mutual friends three years ago, then finding themselves living in the same city (San Francisco), the two were itching to collaborate. And, as of this week, the women’s and children’s label See Sun has been born! “It’s a line that focuses on patterns and color, with clothing that is made thoughtfully and ethically,” the duo explains. “We garment dye all of the pieces and the colors are soft and muted. We use super soft and textural fabrics. For the most part it is seasonless and unisex.”

The debut capsule collection includes a boxy top and leggings for women, and a five-piece children’s collection consisting of tops, tees, and leggings in made-you-look graphics. To model the pieces, Garrido and Corwin enlisted some of their favorite local mamas (and their children) to don the looks—Baggu founder Emily Sugihara, artist Rachel Kaye, and Levi’s designer Amy Hirst. Get a first look at it all below and scoop up the mommy-and-me appropriate looks here.
