Spring is in the air, both in season and here on Mother. And, while we’ve got going green and rainy days covered, no amount of spring content would be complete without a roundup of new beauty products to test, love, and share for the warmer days ahead. Our Editor, Co-Founder, and resident beauty junkie, James, has weighed in with all of her favorite finds now that signs of winter have finally disappeared for good. Whether you’re looking to detox, regenerate, or simply try something new, you’re sure to find a future favorite product to add to your routine.

“I recently cut bangs, while in Los Angeles, and with my cowlick-covered head, it can be tricky to find a way to tame those out-of-control locks. I have an article on the subject coming out soon, but I will say that the flat iron from Drybar has been a true lifesaver in my new daily hair routine and keeps my fringe in check.” Tress Press Digital Styling Iron, $150, Drybar.

“I’ve been treating my body like a wonderland (literally) with this luxury cream from La Mer. Not only is it highly hydrating, it also takes me back to my middle school days with its scent. The smell is a dead ringer for CK One, which is what all the nineties teenagers were wearing, myself included.” La Mer The Body Crème, $195, Nordstrom.

“I don’t wear lipstick often, and when I do it’s usually a bright red lip, but I am really loving this pinky-nude color. It’s like my natural lip color, but better. Bonus points that it’s an all organic formula.” Y Et Beauté Lipstick in ‘Bisou’, $32, Y Et Beauté.

“Now that the sun is officially here to stay, it’s time to amp up my sunscreen game. I will admit that although I am an extremist when it comes to my skincare routine, I often skip out on the SPF.” Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid, $29.99, Ulta.

“We recently wrote a fun story on the Korean beauty essential essence and tested out several different formulas from various brands. The Shiseido Essence was one of the shining stars of the bunch and has earned a permanent spot on my beauty shelf. It doesn’t hurt that the bottle is beautiful, too.” Shiseido Eudermine Revitalizing Essence, $57, Nordstrom.

“One of the biggest skin challenges I’ve experienced as I get older is redness. While a little flush on the face can give you a healthy-looking glow, I tend to get a little more rosy than I’d like. I started adding a few drops of this new oxygen serum to my daily moisturizer and it has completely toned down the crimson color.” Omorovicza Oxygen Booster, $155, Omorovicza.

“When it comes to hair, I struggle with both breakage and frizz, and have been in search of a new shampoo and conditioner that will help battle the great fight. I had heard rave reviews about the smoothing Love formula from Davines, and because I have been using and loving the brand’s Momo Fluid for years, it made sense to give the duo a go. It’s only been a few days, but so far, so good!” Davines Love Shampoo, $26, Davines / Davines Love Conditioner, $30, Davines.

“I tend to play musical chairs when it comes to face cream. Some days I want something deeply hydrating and packed with moisture and other days, I desire a formula that’s thin and lightweight. I find myself reaching for this Creme VIP 02 moisturizer more times than not. It’s like a universal fluffy cloud that melts into the skin for just the right dose of hydration.” Biologique Recherche Creme VIP o2, $186, Rescue Spa.

“Speaking of clouds, have any of you tried the latest and greatest from Glossier? I am guessing the answer is yes, but, if not, let me convince you. The cult-favorite beauty and skincare line just launched its new collection of creamy blushes in four shades inspired by the NYC sunsets. The pigmented colors pair well with all skin tones and leave you looking fresh and glowing. I have to say, Cloud Paint may have just replaced Boy Brow as my favorite Glossier product—or at least they’re tied.”  Glossier Cloud Paint, $18, Glossier.

“Thinking about getting in shape or doing a cleanse before heading to the beach this season? Umm…me, too! I cannot wait to start the Clean program next month. It’s a 21-day deep cleanse that cuts out the crap (caffeine, alcohol, etc.) and claims to transform lives. Sign me up!” Clean 21-Day Program, $475, Clean.

“In search of a product that will smooth and even out your skin tone? Look no further. This highly-acclaimed glycolic serum is a game changer and with regular use, will leave your skin healthy and glowing in no time. I slather it on before bed every night!” T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, $90, Drunk Elephant.

“I recently started using the Regenerating Cleanser from Tata Harper and I am completely obsessed. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and like silk after I rinse. Plus, the citrus-y smell is an intoxicating way to wake up each morning.” Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser, $78, Nordstrom.

“This next pick isn’t technically a beauty product, but I love the smell of the Figue 15 room spray from Le Labo. A quick spritz in the bathroom while you’re getting ready will make your routine even more luxurious and relaxing.” Le Labo Figue 15 Home Fragrance, $115, Barneys New York.

“My friend Jen is always throwing her latest and greatest products into my purse after a girl’s night. Most recently, across a plate of oysters during dinner at Henrietta Red, she dropped her Clary Stretch Mark Oil into my bag, swearing by its powers to calm and neutralize menstrual cramps. I don’t think I’ve been this excited for my period to come since the time I thought I was pregnant just a few months after Sailor was born.” Clary Oil for Stretch Marks, $19.50, Clary Collection.

James’ beauty bag choice is by Ceri Hoover.

Great list. Nothing on this list is affordable. I get it you are sent these things, but please try to do a more affordable list. I can afford CVS that’s about it.
