Good pregnancy style is always something we’re inspired by. And who better to show off six comfy-chic, bump-friendly looks than Amanda Booth? The model, who has posed for everyone from Ellen Von Unwerth to Wildfox to Playboy (she’s Miss February 2014), invited us into her cool L.A. bungalow to try on looks from her own closet for once.
Along the way, the New York-born, all-over-the-country-raised Army brat talks about her nugget-in-the-oven (she’s currently 37 weeks along with a baby boy) and makes laid-back, homebody style look stunning. Ok, we might not have looked exactly like her when we were pregnant, but we say, don’t hate her because she is down-right beautiful!
- "It's minimal-modern mixed with cozy! We have hard clean lines mixed with natural woods and warm elements." Amanda wears pants by Zara, a tank top from Target, and Anine Bing ankle boots.
- "My favorite has got to be our shelving unit/room divider! Our good friend Nick Musso custom built it in Portland and drove it down to us."
- "We've definitely tried to pick out baby stuff that matched our modern look. It's been quite difficult, actually! Most things are covered in prints, there aren't many solids out there."
- "My favorite room is the living room! It's always kind of the heart of a house, and we have an open floor plan so you can pretty much be a part of all the major rooms from the comfort of the sofa!"
- "Less is more, always. We don't like to have a lot of 'stuff' and clutter always feels messy to me."
- "Not too much has changed just yet. We've always been ice-cream-eating homebodies. It is nice, though, to have people see you as a relatable human now, and to see the excitement people have toward the life-changing event of becoming a parent. A negative change I'd have to say is the lack of sleep, I just wanna roll over on my back!" Amanda wears a vintage flannel, H&M tank top, oversized boyfriend jeans cut into shorts, and Aldo sandals.
- "The pain in the beginning when your uterus is stretching. No one talks about the weird stuff, especially all the postpartum things you have to deal with."
- "I look up to my own mother a lot. I am so fortunate to have a loving husband who wants to be really involved! She was a single mom for most of my life, I can't imagine having to do it by myself."
- "I'm really not sure what I would do without my pregnancy pillow! I am a back sleeper and having to switch to my side was a bit of a challenge. That thing just wraps you up like a little kangaroo!" Baby Vans!
- "We kept our guest room basically the same, just added a crib and some stuffed animals to transform it to the baby room. It's a bit surfer with elephants and Harley Davidson bits. We'll see what he gravitates towards and then add more of those touches as he grows up!"
- "We got a giant stuffed elephant and called her Mary after my late grandmother. She loved elephants and played a major role in shaping me. I wish she were here for him, but it's the closest we could get."
- "I'd say the living room is where we all hang out most of the time. I hope that once Micah arrives we will utilize the backyard more!"
- "I can't wait to be the rock in someone's life. To know that I can provide him with love and security, and be the answer when he's upset (sometimes)."
- "I'm most nervous about him ever being hurt, or sick, and maybe not being able to fix him." Amanda wears a top by Ourcaste (a company co-owned by her husband), cut-offs, and TUK creepers.
- "I think I'm pretty casual for the most part. I like punk music and sneakers, but I can get into a dress with little booties, too."
- "I've tried really hard to keep my style the same. I think it's helped me to be happy and positive during this transition. I think it's important to keep your identity even though you're a mom."
- "I often find myself going to my oversized boyfriend shorts, baggy drop-crotch sweats, and any dresses, since they have a lot of room for growth!"
- "Day to day is usually a baggy tee with my cut-off shorts. Business…I don't have much business, but I do have a knee-length Ingrid & Isabel maternity dress that would be cute with a blazer. Night out is definitely a lacy Stone Cold Fox dress! The less restricted, the more comfy and cute you feel for all occasions!"
- "We went to Mexico on our babymoon! I fly a bunch for work, so staying close was key for me. I just want to lay in a body of water all day, every day. The mission was accomplished! We also just had our baby shower last weekend. It was a co-ed backyard BBQ. I'm not going to deny that there was beer chugged from baby bottles (I did not partake, obviously)." Amanda wears a Stone Cold Fox Bonita dress, Anine Bing ankle boots, and 8 Other Reasons necklace.
- "I love Stone Cold Fox because if you're going to spend money on something nice, it's great that you can wear it during stages of the pregnancy and after, as well! My favorite booties are by Anine Bing and Rag & Bone, but you can never replace good ol' Converse sneaks!"
- "I gotta say, I do most of my shopping online. It's hard to make the time to get out to stores, and I think that will serve me well when the baby arrives!"
- "I think the biggest changing factor was when I got booked as the lead for a series of Always Infinity commercials a few years ago. It was a contracted gig that provided me with the confidence that I needed to realize that I can keep booking and transition to more acting roles. As for the proudest accomplishment, I would love for you to ask me that again after I book Victoria's Secret, or am in a film!"
- "I began modeling after losing my athletic scholarship to college due to an injury. I drove to NYC and knocked on doors until someone would sign me (it took two months). I worked out of NY for a few years, eventually ended up in L.A. (where I always dreamed I'd live). Work on the West Coast has been really consistent and fun, and I have no intention of going anywhere else!"
- "My favorite part is the flexibility. You can never replace the ability to make your own schedule." Amanda wears Wildfox strawberry PJ's.
- "I have been on a hiatus due to the pregnancy, but the maternity gigs have been very fun! Nothing too career moving, but fun!"
- "My view has been the same since before I got pregnant, I just allow myself to embrace it a tad bit more nowadays! All the money in the world can't buy back a day…"
- "I moved to L.A. six years ago and currently live in Mar Vista, just a few blocks before Venice."
- "I love being close enough to the beach to ride a bike, but far enough away to have a backyard and peace and quiet. I'm also far enough away from the business of Los Angeles that I can remove myself from the drama. That's key to remaining sane!"
- "I have no desire to live anywhere else, but can see myself living somewhere more chill like San Clemente one day." Amanda wears an H&M stripped skirt, Wildfox California tee, Love and Leather necklace, and Converse sneakers.
- "Typically, if not working, I can be found at home hanging with my pugs! I love being home more than anything else, except a good beach day."
- "Hmmm…Hotcakes Bakes (right by my house). Haha! They have the best cupcakes! And there's a new place called Chocovivo, it's a chocolate bar!"
- "A-Frame on Washington Boulevard is a good mix of food, something for my vegetarian self and meat-eating husband. I tend to go to the Third Street Promenade for shopping. I like being able to get a lot done at once. And I love going to the beach! I'm not much of a hiker, but I love the ocean! I take my visitors there or the Hollywood sign is always cool to see, at least once. It just reminds you of why this all exists, and the history of movie making!"

A gorgeous, barefoot and pregnant mom-to-be! Although Amanda wasn’t barefoot in every picture the pictures she was barefoot in are great. Her baby bump in picture #25 is beautiful and I love the way she is standing. Picture #27 is exquisite. Amanda’s bare soles are breathtaking and her toes are cute, cute, cute!
