Help Leave No Kid Hungry With Earth’s Best and Ella’s Kitchen

It’s a problem that might not be apparent just walking down the street, but an astounding one in five impoverished children in the U.S. struggle with hunger. Of course, that number can go down with a little awareness and effort.  Which is why two of our (and our tots’) favorite healthy eats brands—Earth’s Best and Ella’s Kitchen—have launched exclusive specially marked packages of their pouches to help bring light to No Kid Hungry‘s mission.

What you can do: Head to select Walmart stores during the month of March (which is also National Nutrition Month), and scoop up one of the brands’ specially marked 4-pouch packs, in a quartet of popular flavors: Earth’s Best Peach Mango Puree, Earth Best’s Banana Blueberry Puree, Ella’s Kitchen Apples, Sweet Potatoes, Pumpkin, and Blueberries Puree, and Ella’s Kitchen Apples, Carrots, Prunes, and Butternut Squash Puree.

The brands, which have already donated 1.5 million meals to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, are also asking families to take things a step further, scouring their kitchens for items to make a food donation box to drop off at a local food charity. And if that sounds like a fun afternoon activity with the kids, make sure you snap some pictures of it to share with us for a chance to win (in more ways than one).

Yep, that’s right: If you’re doing something to help fight childhood hunger this month, tag your Instagram photos with @mothermag, #NoKidHungry, and #FeedKidsinNeed for a chance to win a big basket of food donated to your charity of choice. Ready, set, go!
