The Best Nursery Rhymes (And Hand Motions To Go With ‘Em)

If you’re anything like us, sometimes your mom/baby brain gets the best of you. And you just can’t remember the basics…like the words of classic nursery rhymes that you are supposed to magically recall and belt out to your offspring. Need some help, mama? Us, too. Which is why we compiled a perhaps no-brainer list of some top tot songs and YouTube links to the little hand motions that go with them. Warning: These videos are supremely hokey. But you get the point. If you don’t need this list, congrats! For the rest of us…here’s your cheat-sheet when you don’t have the time, will, or money to make it to music class.

The Wheels On The Bus

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes

Pat-a-Cake

If You’re Happy And You Know It

Old McDonald Had A Farm

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed

Are your favorites missing from our short list? If so, let us know in the comments!

Great list. I also like “I’m a little teapot”, “one finger one thumb”, “here is the church” and “here is the beehive”.
