Just take a look/It’s in a book/Reading Rainboooooooooowwww. We all remember singing along to this television jingle, and it looks like a new generation of kids might get to do the same, thanks to a Kickstarter campaign that’s bringing the 80’s and 90’s PBS icon Reading Rainbow back.

Yep, that’s right. The pro-literacy program, which has been off the air since 2009, has raised $1 million is just one day after posting on the crowd-funding website. And after such a successful start, original host LeVar Burton and producer Mark Wolfe have upped the ante, raising their goal to $5 million, which will help revive the program online, on apps for both iPhone and Android, provide over 7500 schools with free Reading Rainbow materials, and more.

Honestly, we haven’t thought about this show for a long time, but now that it’s back in the forefront, we’re getting a little nostalgic for it! If you’re feeling the same way, check out the Kickstarter campaign here and donate.
