While the Spring 2015 shows are in full swing in New York, there are some other seasonal happenings off the runway that we are equally excited about. That would be, of course, all of the kids’ collections that are rolling out come January. One line we’re especially hyped on is Anthem of the Ants, an LA-based girls-only collection, specializing in wares for the 12-month to 10-year-old set.
Started in 2010 by former women’s denim designer Lynn Keyes, the label looks to “create unique and pretty pieces as individual as the kids who wear them.”
“Our mantra continues to guide us as we grow: Dance to your own beat, Sing to your own song, March to your own anthem,” says Keyes. “The collection combines a clean aesthetic with vintage elements and silhouettes, feminine details, and layered prints, textures, and color. We hope to be that pretty, one-of-a-kind inspired piece included in a well curated closet.”
Another charming fact about the line: It’s a total family affair, with daughters Sicily (9) and Stella (7) serving as a constant source of inspiration and collaborating on style, comfort, fit, and color, as well as modeling in the lookbooks. Meanwhile, Keyes husband puts his graphic design skills to good use.
Want to known what the fam has cooked up for Spring 2015? Think indigo tie-dyed pieces accented with crisp white embroidery, comfy tunic dresses and rompers in vivid ikat prints, and a host of other comfy and cute separates and sundresses in breathable linen and cotton fabrics. It’s all enough to make us want to be really young again.
