Are you ever curious about what’s on others peoples’ Christmas lists? Yeah, us too. That’s why we asked some of the subjects behind our Mother Stories to spill the beans on what they want most this year. From a new Clare Vivier clutch to a quiet night alone with the husband, these ladies have some really great holiday wants. Click through our slideshow below and see if they spark any last minute add-ons to your list!
- "We'll be on the road this holiday, so I'm asking for small, packable gifts like this Sunday Market Bag and Tajine Lip Stain.”
- "An afternoon of pampering. I don’t even remember the last time I got my haircut. I think the perfect gift this year would be an afternoon on my own to get my hair cut, a pedicure, and blow out at The Dry Bar. I’ve always wanted to try it out. Also, these Kate Spade Saturday Leather Oxfords."
- "I'm not one for Christmas gifts, but something I desire (but definitely don't want as a gift, actually) is a Tesla! I also really LOVE Black Orchid by Tom Ford! I don't wear fragrance, but I'd spray this on everything!”
- “I’ve been jonesing for Kelly Wearstler's Bronze Legs for my coffee table."
- "This Heather Taylor Home tablecloth, which I'll most likely use as a turban, scarf, or beach towel, this delicious Winter fragrance, a Jessica Winzelberg Double Baba Necklace, some vintage binoculars to keep in my bag at all times, a KKibo Shaman sweater, Rachel Craven napkins, Black Crane pants, Clyde Dip hat in Angora Green, and a trench coat by Jesse Kamm."
- "I spend the holidays with my family in Maine. For Christmas this year, I would love to sneak away from the kids and relish a quiet dinner with just my husband at this restaurant called The Lost Kitchen in Freedom, ME. I’m dying to try it!”
- "My one 'wish list' item for Christmas, as cliche as it may seem, is the Satomi Kawakita 18k Gold Ring with a Brown Diamond. I have coveted this ring for so long. I usually buy most of my jewelry, but this one feels like it should be a gift—hint hint!”
- "This Baggu Metallic Leather Clutch is on my wish list, as are a pair of shoes similar to these Ladies Wool Loafers."
- "This Christmas, besides a little rest and relaxation, I would love Anita Ko Floating Diamond Earrings.”
- "What I want for my holiday gift is down time with my family after a crazy busy year and holiday season. Ideally, a few days at my favorite spot, Hotel Cielo Rojo in San Pancho, Mexico."
- "For Christmas this year, I’m looking forward to reliving my childhood via the scent of D.S. and Durga's '85 Diesel Candle. Growing up, my Dad drove us around in a 1980s Mercedes with the weirdest orange leather interior. This candle smells exactly like it."
- "I love travel gifts. I'd rather put everything we would otherwise put towards a material gift into an awesome experience that will inspire us. So, this year's gift is a trip to Marrakesh, Morocco. I'm sure I will do a ton of shopping there, so we'll be covered in the 'things' department. As a little something extra, I told my husband he's welcome to get me a new crystal skull to add to my existing collection. I just love those so much!”
- “I want a nice wool coat. I am actually on a never-ending internet search for the perfect one. Every year, I buy stuff on December 26th to take advantage of the sales, so I will probably wait until then. Something like The Row's Fessing-Cotton Wool Coat."
- "Stopping time. My wish for us this Christmas would be another round of photos of our little trio. The captures from my Mother story by the huge talent Jaclyn Campanero mean so much. Since then, we have moved homes, yet again, and settled into our new life in Portland. Much more, we've seen crazy amounts of growth and change. I would love to pause on this joyful and chaotic time for my kids and I. I'm coveting another session with Jaclyn or another local photographer, Kati Dimoff, whose Instagram snaps I adore.”
- "I'm coveting this 'All The Moons' print by Stella Maria Baer.”
