After our kickoff in New York City, the Hanna Andersson x MOTHER Bedtime Stories tour headed to Los Angeles last month for a very special story time with beloved author-illustrator Jon Klassen.

To celebrate Jon’s limited-edition PJ collection with Hanna—featuring characters from his smash-hit debut book, I Want My Hat Back—more than 100 families joined us over two mornings at the stunning Skylight Books in Los Feliz.

Many kiddos arrived in their brand-new Jon Klassen x Hanna Andersson gear, ready to settle in for a bevy of Klassen-penned classics, read by the man himself.

Our magic-filled mornings also featured live performances by Chudney Ross of The Hello Friends Show and Books and Cookies, a bookmark-making craft, Courage Bagels, drinks by Flowerhead Tea, and sweet treats from DK’s Donuts.

Guests also enjoyed PJ and gift bag giveaways, beautiful florals by Grace Loring, and bedtime-ready goodies from our friends at Yogasleep, Warmies, Tonies, Candlewick Press, Red Cap Cards, Thames & Kosmos, JoyCat, Melissa & Doug, Tubby Todd, Oilogic, Mudpuppy, Laurel Denise, Poppy & Pout, and Traditional Medicinals.

It was the perfect kind of LA morning: delicious bites, the best company, a sprinkle of star power, and all of the cozy moments that make story time—and childhood—so special.
