70+ Pics From Our Pattern-Tastic Party at Kido

Our first-ever event in Chicago was filled to the brim with color and fun. Thanks to our host—Keewa Nurullah and her vibrant shop, Kido—and our theme: Patterns, Patterns Everywhere, inspired by visiting author-illustrator Kellie Menendez and her debut book of the same name. Kellie was joined by another debut author, Katherine “Kat” Trejo, who also read from and signed copies of her touching book, Yefferson, Actually.
In addition to enjoying interactive book readings with Kellie + Kat, the many kidos (and mamas) in attendance came decked out in patterns and added extra flare with nail stickers and tattoos by OMY, and created mini-masterpieces with OMY‘s velvet coloring sheets and other art projects.
Our friends at Serenity Kids and Lesser Evil kept little bellies filled with snacks, Lil’ Libros hosted a fun giveaway, and our floral-print Marimekko gift bags were filled with colorful wonders by Sarah’s Silks, Mudpuppy, Tubby Todd, OOLY, and People I’ve Loved.
