Mom’s just wanna have fun, right? Damn right! Sometimes you just need break and a good ol’ night out with the girls for some major sanity saving. When those rare opportunities arise to escape (because you threatened sweetly convinced your partner to go at it alone for a few hours), you must take advantage! We’ve rounded up our favorite gal-pal date ideas below, so you can live it up, mama style.

Sign Up For A Pottery Class. Looking to get in touch with your artistic side? Pottery classes are a lot of fun, and leave you with something to take home afterward. These classes have been said to be therapeutic—perfect for moms who need a little de-stressing.

Wine And Dine. Of course, dinner is a go-to date night idea, but you can make it extra special by making reservations for the girls, getting dressed up, and splurging on a fancy dinner at that new upscale spot you’ve all been dying to try!

Go Dancing. You know that little black dress or pair of heels you bought that you’ve yet to break in? Now’s the time. Hit up the club like the old days, or find a super fun honky-tonk bar and get your dance on.

Book Club. Bookworms, unite! If you’ve been dying to be held accountable for finishing that new novel (or any book for that matter) this is a great idea. On mom’s night out, you can get together and discuss your favorite reads with wine and cheese.

Spa Night. Who doesn’t want a massage on their off night? Make a date of it and get all your girls together at someone’s house or hit up a late night spa for some R&R with your best babes.

Painting Sesh. Painting classes are great because anyone can do it. Throw in a little wine and you’ve got yourself a date! Most cities have painting places nearby that allow BYOB. Find yours and hit it up with your ladies!

Sleepover. Arrange a nostalgic pajama party with your closets mom-friends. Order some takeout, pop some champagne, watch movies, and splurge on dessert. No one has to get ready or drive home—it really doesn’t get any better than this!

Karaoke Bar. Everyone loves karaoke, there’s no doubt (especially after a couple drinks). Hit up your local karaoke bar and sing your heart out with your closest friends. It’s so much fun and who knows, you might get discovered?

Hit Up The Roller Rink. The bar not your cup of tea? Opt for an old-time classic—rollerskating. This hilarious outing will take you right back to middle school and with all the extras—food, beer, music, and strobe lights, what else could you want? Not a skater? Try bowling instead.

Pinterest Party. All those pins you’ve been saving with hopes to actually DIY? Time to conquer them. Invite your best mamas over for an adult craft night, equipped with snacks, music, and of course, a bottle of vino.

Comedy Club. Stand up comedy is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to see someone live before they blow up on SNL. Grab your humor-loving sisters and hit up a local act to laugh away the mom-stress.

Wine Tasting. Have you always wished you were more fluent in wine and pairings? Or knew how to smell, swirl, and sip? Take a wine class with your girls, which are a lot of fun and well, need we same more?

Cooking Lesson. Looking to expand your culinary expertise, or simply start cooking, period? (It’s ok, really!) Sign up for a evening cooking class with your besties for a perfect foodie night out.

Clothing Swap. You might have done this when you were younger, but you’re never too old to trade threads. You and your best mom friends can bag up all those outgrown, unwanted clothes and have a low-key get-together at someone’s house to rummage through it all. Add food and cocktails and you’ve got yourself a party.

Concert. Last but definitely not least, seek out the best concert coming to town and buy a row of tickets next to each other for you and your best girls to get out and sing, dance, and cheer together!
