- "Statement walls in nurseries are going to be big in 2020. You can incorporate this trend in your nursery with a bold wallpaper, whimsical mural, or eclectic art collection on the wall behind your baby's crib."
- "Natural textures—be that macrame wall hangings or fluffy shag rugs—will be everywhere in nurseries this year. For the modern mom, this is the perfect way to infuse cozy, soft textiles in your little love's space."
- "One of the most popular art styles for nurseries this year is animal art. Animal art is super versatile, it's gender neutral, and it will grow with your child for quite a few years. BONUS: It works with virtually any color scheme!"
- "Gone are the days of pastel nurseries! 2020 is all about moody color palettes in the nursery, and that includes dark blue, inky green, and jet black. You can implement this trend in your nursery with a painted accent wall or decorative accents in deep, saturated tones."
- "Feminine florals have been around for a while, and they are here to stay in 2020. A new twist on this timeless pattern is the large-scale floral motif, which you can incorporate in your nursery with a garden-inspired wallpaper or a large-scale floral wall decal."
- "Indoor houseplants have been having a heyday in the interior design world for the past few years, and it doesn't look like they are going anywhere anytime soon. Incorporating plants in the nursery is going to be majorly trending in 2020, but don't worry if you don't have a green thumb. Consider a faux hanging plant or a no-maintenance faux tree for a worry-free botanical touch. No water required."
- "Modern minimalists rejoice, because Scandinvaian-inspired nursery designs are all the rage in 2020. Think calm, bright spaces with light natural wood and all the clean lines. The wonderful thing about this trend is that these spaces deliver on both form and function, and there's no extra clutter to have to clean up. Because, really, what new mom has time to pick up lots of extra stuff?"
- "With the disappearance of traditional pink and blue nurseries, more and more people are favoring gender neutral color palettes; hence, the emergence of the elevated neutral nursery in 2020. Tone-on-tone white, cream, beige, and gray make for a calming environment for both mom and baby."
- "The tropical-inspired nursery is trending in a big way in 2020, and it's no wonder why. Having a new baby pretty much eliminates the ability to go on a tropical vacation, so designers are bringing the vacation to the nursery! Think banana leaf wallpaper, palm plants, and jungle animal-inspired decor. It's a fun and mood-lifting nursery design trend that you will see everywhere this year."
- "The popularity of earth tone colors and the subsequent movement away from cooler colorways is extending to the nursery in a major way. Warm, natural wood furniture, animal-hyde-inspired area rugs, and calm, grounding wall colors are a big-time trend this year. One of the best things about this trend is that it translates to a space that can grow with your baby and easily segue into a toddler and young child's room."
