Every mama knows how quickly kids grow. Which can be frustrating for those of us shelling out for cute clothing, only to find those very garments—many in mint condition—in the giveaway pile six months to a year later. While handing your goods down to the next kid or donating them to a worthy cause is always an option, thanks to the latest Poshmark app upgrade, you can also sell kids’ wares for cash, right from the palm of your hand.
The popular social shopping app, which includes over 5,000 brands (and 18 million items) for sale, debuts its kids’ vertical today. All mamas have to do is snap a quick pic of the item they want to get rid of, use an Instagram-style filter to gloss it up (if desired), list the details, price, size, brand…and you’re pretty much good to go!
Aside from launching kids, the app is also launching the men’s category, too. So, not only can you sell your kiddo’s castaways (and those brand-new pieces from the in-laws that were gathering dust anyways), you can sell wares for your whole family in one go. (All shipping is 2-3 day USPS priority for $5.95 for up to five pounds).
The money you make from the sales can be deposited straight into your bank account or you can shop for new-to-you items from other folks’ closets, right in the app. The kid-centric “Posh Parties” (real-time events in which sellers hawk like-minded goods) will begin next week.
