With kids’ lines popping up left and right these days, it can be hard to stand out from the pack, but Rylee & Cru does just that.
The creation of Instagram-favorite Kelli Murray, an illustrator, blogger, and former fashion merchandiser, the line is named after Murray’s two children. Launched last week, Rylee & Cru consists of darling modern silhouettes (sweet dresses, hand-knit bloomers and beanies, muscle-tanks, bubble suits, harem pants), a gorgeous muted palette (pale peach, minty blue, grey, black, eggshell), and standout graphics (swans, bunnies, winking eyes, arrows) that Murray doodled herself. It all adds up to a head-turning debut.
“I had a hard time finding baby clothes that spoke to my neutral-loving, artistic aesthetic,” Murray tells Mother. “I always had it in the back of my mind that I would someday put my passions and experience to use in children’s wear and start a line of my own.”
“The collection consists of quality basics that are garment dyed, giving them a soft, vintage feel right out of the box,” she says. “The shapes are comfortable and the fabrics are soft, making dressing easy for baby and mom. I wanted the palette in this collection to be timeless. I wanted it to feel ‘baby,’ but in a pretty, dreamy sort of way.”
Dreamy is right. Check out the line, which starts at $34, at Rylee & Cru, and try not to squee too loud.
