While preschool isn’t happening IRL, there is still plenty of education and fun to be had right at home. Which is why the brand-new learning app Sago Mini School is absolutely right on time!
The brainchild of the award-winning creators behind Sago Mini, Sago Mini School was developed in tandem with top education experts to include a vibrant curriculum for ages 3-5 (and beyond!) that’ll engage your child in lessons on early literacy, math, spatial skills, science, art, and creative play in a variety of innovative ways. Bonus points: The app is super easy to navigate, allowing children freedom to explore Sago Mini School all on their own while parents get some much-needed downtime.
The app is currently divided into four mega-fun and kid-approved categories—Rainbows, Bugs, Gardens, and Big Trucks—with more content added regularly. Each section includes a variety of open-ended games and learning opportunities. For example: Little fingers can press play on short and engaging educational videos, as well as trace letters, numbers, and shapes while learning the names of each figure (and improving their fine motor skills).
Additionally, kids can lead an array of colorful characters through surprise-filled mazes, build their own insects and vehicles, flip through interactive read-aloud books, create artwork (which can then be turned into a video!), and perhaps our favorite part—explore vividly illustrated scenes where children can move characters and objects around at will, click on items to learn their names, and create magic all their own.
To go along with Sago Mini School, parents can download the free Sago Mini Parents companion app, which gives a recap of what your little one has learned, including pictures and videos of their activities (which you can share with loved ones), as well as tried-and-true tips from education experts on how to continue your child’s learning on and offline.
Take a look in our slideshow below to see the incredible new Sago Mini School learning app in action as we take it on a spin with our little friends—sisters Cece, 3, and Cami, 7! Then download Sago Mini School for yourself at the iOS App Store. You can try it for free for one month until the end of May. After your free trial, you can subscribe for $7.99/month or $59.99/year.

- Ready to try out <a href="https://go.onelink.me/app/SMSchoolMM" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sago Mini School</a>?! So are these eager little learners.
- First up: Rainbows!
- While Sago Mini School has launched four categories for its debut (Rainbows, Bugs, Gardens, and Big Trucks), naturally, these rainbow-loving sisters started with this one.
- There are over a dozen activities in the Rainbow section of Sago Mini School, including multiple coloring games—of a rainboot, treasure, rainbow, and more! After doodling on each coloring page, and moving the characters around, users can get a video that shows an animated play-back of the illustration—a fun feature that littles will love.
- Other activities in the Rainbow section include practicing letter writing (with rainbows, of course), interactive read-along books, educational videos about colors, light, and the weather, and other open-ended adventures.
- Next up on the new Sago Mini School app: Gardens! This section of the app allows kids to understand what makes a garden grow. Our favorite activity: A raincloud that kids can move around above soil and see what pops up!
- Meanwhile, in the Bugs section, little users are able to practice their number writing skills using caterpillars.
- There are also a multitude of coloring games in both the Gardens and Bugs sections, mazes in which you can take insects down into the ground and lead them home (while collecting prizes), interactive learning videos for the bug- and garden-curious, fun mix-and-match insect-building games, and so much more!
- Next up in Sago Mini School's debut set: Big Trucks!
- A favorite theme of toddlers across the globe, Big Trucks is an absolute digital wonderland for the vehicle-obsessed, offering build-your-own truck modules, and videos of construction sites, amongst other truck-loving fun.
- Ready to try out Sago Mini School for FREE (!) for yourself? Head over to the iOS App Store and download your complimentary trial through the end of May. If you like what you experience (and we think you will!) you can subscribe for $7.99 a month of $59.99 a year.
