“Mothering the mother” was the theme of our latest event with ThirdLove, to celebrate the company’s brand-new nursing bra, which is already getting rave reviews. To toast the new product, we gathered some of our favorite expecting and new moms (and a few new-ish moms) in the San Francisco Bay Area, inviting them to an afternoon of mingling and pampering at the stunning floral studio and secret garden space of Natalie Bowen (a new mama herself!).
In addition to scoping out the new bras—which come in two styles, all in blush, black, and nude—guests also put their decorative green thumbs to the test at our DIY floral bar, snapped away and enjoyed photo crafts thanks to a bunch of Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 cameras given to each mama, and got their choice of intoxicating essential oils, courtesy of EO Products.
While the backyard garden space filled with babies and mothers, sipping on Halcyon Wine, Can Can Cleanse juices and nut-milks, and nibbling on Tomales Farmstead Creamery cheese (all new-mama-owned businesses!), as well as Doughies cookies and a Bi-Rite spread, ThirdLove‘s co-founder Heidi Zak and the company’s VP of Design and Product Development, Ra’el Cohen, explained to the audience why the new ThirdLove bra is truly #ByMomsForMoms.
