A Watercolor Feast with The Forest Feast & Case for Making

Over a decade ago, we met Erin Gleeson as she was on the brink of motherhood—pregnant with her first child, freshly profiled by MOTHER in 2014, and already enchanting us with the colorful, creative world of The Forest Feast. Fast forward to last year, and Erin returned to San Francisco (after moving to Wisconsin) as the author—and illustrator—of 5 vegetarian cookbooks, a mom of three, and celebrating the launch of her latest title, The Watercolor Feast: Learn To Paint Simple Fruits, Vegetables, & Edible Flowers.
To mark the occasion, we gathered some of our local community at the dreamy Case for Making shop—which sits just blocks from the Pacific Ocean and is a place where artists around the country snap up the brand’s renowned handmade watercolors and other art essentials. Case for Making‘s brand-new workshop space was the perfect venue to host an intimate watercolor lesson led by Erin herself.
Surrounded by florals and vibrant produce spilling down the center of the table, guests painted, sipped delicious spritzes by Aplós, and snacked on a bountiful fruit, veggie, and hummus spread by Little Sesame, created by Salo Salo.
