Visit The Kid-Friendly “Mother Lounge” At West Coast Craft!

We’ve long been fans of San Francisco’s premier maker showcase, West Coast Craft. In addition to finding some of the coolest goods for men, women, and kids, we can also count on it to serve up some incredible mommy-and-me street style moments (see here and here for proof!).

Naturally, we’ll be back again during the show’s summer set-up on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12, not only to scout more street style (dress to impress, mamas!), but also to showcase our very own 600-square-foot “Mother Lounge” on the mezzanine level, where we’ll be setting up a fun-filled area where parents can relax and kids can have fun. Because, let’s face it, bringing your kid to West Coast Craft often seems great in theory, but in reality can be a trying scenario. But that’s where we come in.

Nestled next to Blue Bottle Coffee and the Oakland Museum, our set-up will include rad kid-friendly furnishings by Land of Nod (Geodome Playhouse, anyone?!), books and games by Chronicle Books, the prettiest teeter totters you’ve ever seen by The Paloma Co. set atop a beautiful Jaipur Living rug, toys by Mapamundi Kids, arts and crafts by Seedling and Petit Collage, and play stations by Toca Boca. Our suggestion: Come with another adult so that you can both tag-team on childcare while the other one takes in the show on the main level, sans kiddo.

Bonus: Once you’re wandering around WCC, you’ll noticed 20 “Mother-approved” vendors we’ve handpicked as ones to watch. See them all below and be sure to pay them a visit in person:
Half Hitch Goods: The cutest, most well curated shop on wheels!
Noble Carriage: All the organic baby goods you want, under one (e-commerce) roof.
Freda Salvador: There’s a reason this shoe brand has a cult following. The founders (both mothers) will be debuting their Airstream/showroom at the event!
Tosan: Makers of the much-beloved “Pop” and “Tot” tees, and more goodies for cool dads.
Rare Device: All your gifting needs, covered. (Including for yourself.)
Mabo: Simple, stylish children’s clothes with a vintage feel, made in the USA.
Micaela Greg: Graphic knits for mama and kiddos.
Bryr: One look at these beauties and you’ll want to join the #SecretClogSociety.
EllieFunDay: Organic blankets, bonnets, swaddles, and more.
iA Playhouse: The prettiest hand-made structures for children.
Gravel & Gold: All the Earth mama vibes! Yessssss.
First Rite: We want everything in this collection, season in and season out.
Little Paper Planes: Artful, thoughtful, and quirky gifts.
Les Petits Carreaux: Chic kids’ clothes, made by a trio of French moms.
Happy French Gang: Hand-dyed blankets and pillows in the most gorgeous hues.
Spark + Pepper: Beautiful, dainty jewelry designed by a new mama.
Lisa Says Gah: Where all the cool kids shop.
Susan Hoff: Super durable bags made out of recycled sails. So great.
Young in the Mountains: Ceramics and baubles that beg for double-takes.
Caravan Pacific: Some days, all we want in life are these lamps sprinkled around our house.

For those of you in the San Francisco Bay Area, we can’t wait to see you at the show! Mother at West Coast Craft, Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center. Free!
