If you still haven’t found your go-to skivvies brand, Madewell has some brilliant news to share: The thoroughly modern women’s line launches intimates today!

Inspired by the idea that underwear should be understated (but far from boring) Madewell’s first-ever line of bralettes and panties will eventually include a whopping 42 pieces—16 bra styles and 26 underwear designs, all ideal for mix-and-matching and retailing between $12.50 and $35.

Today’s debut consists of three fabrications—cotton modal, lace, and mesh trimmed—in the prettiest minimal and modern palette of black, white, grey, blush, navy, periwinkle, vibrant red, and sunny marigold.

“The team and I were having trouble finding minimalist bralettes and underwear that were made for everyday. We were looking for pieces that were high quality, uncomplicated, and comfortable, but still looked good,” explains Madewell’s head designer (and mama to Poppy!) Joyce Lee. “We wanted to give our woman those foundational pieces she needs, because that’s where it all starts when she gets dressed. The collection is a little bit tomboy, a little bit sexy and—above all—feels amazing on. Our ultimate goal is to create pieces that are equally beautiful as they are functional.”

To make this news even sweeter—especially with Valentine’s Day on the horizon—on Thursday, February 9th, from 6-8pm, all of Madewell’s shops will be hosting parties to celebrate the arrival of intimates, with 10% of proceeds going to Girls Inc., an organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
