The end of 2022 is rapidly approaching, which means the “best of” lists for the year are starting to pile up. One list we always look forward to is The New York Times and New York Public Library’s lineup of the Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2022. This year’s Top 10 list has a variety of illustration styles and mediums—from bold and graphic paint strokes to whimsical, textured embroidery. All of these unique titles would make fantastic holiday gifts for kids, as well as reading material while school’s out.
