It’s that time again… One of our favorite mother-owned brands, Doen, is dropping its latest collection. And this time, there’s a twist. “The summer/pre-fall 2018 collection is particularly special to us because Katherine designed it while pregnant with her now one-month-old daughter—and muse!—Prairie,” explains fellow designer Margaret Kleveland. “The collection breaths feminine energy and also has many transitional pieces that celebrate the body of a woman before, during, and after pregnancy.” In other words, along with being supremely breezy and beautiful, several of the pieces can accommodate growing baby bumps and are breastfeeding-friendly, offering buttons and silhouettes that allow easy access for nursing. (As demonstrated by model and new mama Jaycina Almond in the brand’s latest campaign).

Of course, the designs themselves don’t scream maternity duds. “This collection was inspired by the essence of the summer season mixed with dreams of dewy English countrysides—dreamy, verdant, and aglow with lazy warmth,” explains Katherine Kleveland. “Rich garden tones and lush florals embody the ripeness of the season and details such as pin tucking, ruffles, and breathable fabrics make each piece the layer to reach for during these warmer months.”

Take a look at all the prettiness below (including some new pieces for kids) and scoop up the items you love on shopdoen.com starting today. In the meantime, check out our Mother profiles on founders/sisters Margaret Kleveland (and her wife, Brett Ramey) and Katherine Kleveland.
