Food allergies are a common thing in adults and children—approximately 3 million kids have allergies in the United States alone. The most common reactions are from peanuts and nuts, milk, shellfish, soy, eggs, and wheat and gluten. And they can be serious—even life threatening—so make sure you watch for the signs and talk to your pediatrician when symptoms arise. Of course, living with food sensitivities in the house can be tough, especially when not everyone in the home shares dietary restrictions. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up 15 safe eats to try, because having to tiptoe around allergies in the kitchen can be a real bummer…that is, if you don’t have a little inspiration.
