Mother Essentials: Slick Woods

Written by Erin Feher

How to introduce Slick Woods to those who don’t know? Do we start that she’s muse to Rihanna, or that she famously went into labor with her son Saphir moments after stepping off the runway, or that she’s just launched a new jewelry company, a sneaker design, and a FB Watch show (ATTN’s Moms in Hot Tubs premiered this past Monday) all before her son’s first birthday? Needless to say, Slick is a force, and she is having quite a moment. Especially considering that four years ago she was living on the streets and coming off a stint in jail. She was spotted at a bus stop by the model Ash Stymest, who hooked her up with his agents—next thing she knew she was being shot for Kanye West’s Yeezy lookbook. She’s since modeled for Calvin Klein, Fendi, Moschino, Marc Jacobs, and is a regular on the Fenty runway. It’s in part due to her signature style, but what’s really hooked her legion of fans is her individualistic personality. We had to know how she gets it done, and what items she can’t live without. So, without further delay, Slick’s 12 current Mother Essentials coming right up!
