For those of you who couldn’t make it out to our “Mother Lounge” at West Coast Craft in San Francisco over the weekend, here’s a peek at our space, which offered a welcome break from the crowd (and entertainment for the kids) at this season’s incredible show.
Thanks to Land of Nod, we created a colorful, kid-friendly space, including a nifty geodome play tent for kids to hide out in. Modern teeter totters by The Paloma Co. set atop a Petit Collage x Jaipur Living rug added to the fun.
Seedling provided pom-pom and beading activities, as well as Invent Your Own Insect kits, S.F.’s coolest toy shop, Mapamundi Kids, and Petit Collage set up a “Toy Library” for the littles to pick and choose from, Chronicle Books provided books and games for all ages, and Toca Boca furthered its “Take A Stand For Play” campaign with jumbo-sized take-home posters.
Check it all out in the pictures that follow, and catch you at the next one!
- The focal point: Land of Nod's fun geodome playhouse, filled with fun cushions and pillows.
- The kids were not short on stimulation, thanks to books by Chronicle Books, crafts by Seedling, toys by Mapamundi Kids and Petit Collage, beautiful teeter totters by The Paloma Co., and play rugs by the Land of Nod and Jaipur Living.
- Chronicle Books for all ages, from babies to tweens.
- We thought so.
- We're pretty much obsessed with these The Paloma Co. teeter totters, which can be used by one child or two.
- A larger sized teeter totter makes its debut in the lounge.
- Toca Boca stickers FTW.
- And Toca Boca's "Take A Stand For Play" posters.
- We'll admit, even thought it was called the "Mother Lounge," there were a whole lot of dads in attendance. Also: We can't get enough of these Jenny Pennywood x Land of Nod poufs.
- More dads.
- An adorable visitor.
- Tots on totter action.
- Overhead butterflies marked the spot.
- The toys by Mapamundi Kids and Petit Collage rarely stayed on the shelf.
- Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.
- The upstairs scene.
- The downstairs scene. Thanks to everyone who came out!
