With the holidays just around the corner, the crowds were out this past weekend, taking in the indie creator showcase at West Coast Craft in San Francisco. Per usual, Mother was on the scene, scouting our favorite mother-kiddie street style looks from the nearly 25,000 attendees (!), as well as running a lounge for families looking for a break from the bustle. In this season’s roundup, we captured familiar faces and met plenty of new mamas, too. Below, we snapped their casual-cool looks, and quizzed them on their 2017 takeaways, 2018 goals, and current wishlists. Enjoy!
- Roseli wears a vintage embroidered caftan from Mercy Vintage, Puma sneakers, textile purse from Ilano Design, and studs by Variance Objects and Kathleen Whitaker. Nayeli wears a waxcloth dress handsewn by her aunt, Zara shirt, and Puma sneakers.

Also, in her Mother profile. You can find Julie here and in her Mother profile.
- Ria wears a Trina Turk coat, Madewell jeans and tee, and Vans sneakers. Amelia wears a La Coqueta dress, Hanna Andersson tights, and Young Soles brogues.
- "Change on many levels. The year has been about reawakening my inner activist (which was what I wanted to be when I was 10-years-old), defining the direction I want my work to go, forming new friendships and nurturing old ones, and sending my daughter to kindergarten! It's been full of being inspired by, meeting, and cheering on other women. The one year anniversary of the Women's March is coming up and it's been on my mind a lot." You can find Ria online here and on Instagram here and here.

- "I went into 2017 with a one word mantra of 'Courage' for myself, my daughter's future, and our Mother Earth. I knew this year was going to be a test and a slow painful one, but I had no idea it was going to be so unsettling. It was daily bombardment of the gender/racial divides, natural disasters, mass shootings, and all the absurdities of the one who shall not be named. Had I not been building, over the last few years, an incredibly strong network of mothers, sisters, and daughters, I don't think I would have been able to find that courage we all communally are looking for. I learned that when women stand together and support each other, our dreams become realities and our fears become whispers. I feel like I'm truly just starting to step into my power and I'm looking forward to how this courage will help mold my life and community involvement in 2018." You can find Brette on Instagram here, here, and here.

My husband and I have decided to not exchange gifts this year and instead donate to a couple of our favorite non-profit organizations." You can find Ari here, here, and in her Mother profile.

It's so much fun to rediscover some of our favorite spots through the eyes of Day!" You can find Myka online here, and read her touching story of open adoption here.

- "After moving twice, remodeling a house, and having a baby in the past year, I want NOTHING. Ha! I am really trying not to accumulate so much stuff. My kid, on the other hand, wants ALL THE STUFF. But he’d be happy with a healthy dose of Legos. We’re doing a combo of donating and saving for the new baby before the holidays to make room for new stuff. Between those older toys and some new ones we will buy to donate, we’re hoping to give our kiddo as much perspective as possible (for a 4 year old) about how lucky we really are." You can find Surya online here.
- Emily wears Rag + Bone jeans, a Helmut Lang sweater, Fendi neck scarf, and Ferragamo shoes. Adeline wears a Huxbaby dress, H&M jacket and pants, and Freshly Picked shoes.

- "Well, aside from women banding together to overthrow the patriarchy (damn time!), 2017 has been a year for a lot of personal growth and reflection. With everything going on in the world, it's been a time for me to take a look at the deeper meaning in things and surround myself with people who challenge and mirror that ethos (and also ignite that in myself). It's also been about leading by example for my daughter and hoping/building toward being an inspiring figure for her and no more BS. Not going to lie, kind of an intense year." You can find Angela online here.
- Katie wears a Nettle Studios outfit, Lotta clogs, and a vintage bandana.

I got engaged to Elanor's father, Brett Walker, grew my business by taking on the largest contract I’ve ever done (designing and building out the Anchor Brewing Tap Room), had a couple of large art shows, and also stepped up my caregiving to Elanor. It has been rewarding, exhausting, challenging at times, but totally worth it for the growth that I went through." You can find Katie at her site and on Instagram.
- Finn wears Nike. Lisa wears a Doen sweater, vintage jeans, Zara slides, and vintage earrings. James wears a Kkibo sweater, Mabo onesie, and Huron Wendat moccasins.

I’ve learned to live in the present and embrace what’s in front of me, especially when it’s time spent with my little." You can find Kim online here, here, and here.

- "Eli was a week old when 2017 began. This year has been at all about him and understanding what it means to love unconditionally. Every day with a baby is remarkable because they grow daily and you see their consciousness and then personality come out. Witnessing this change has made me realize that we are all growing and are malleable. Each day we wake up new, it’s very invigorating if you think about it." You can find Chen online here and here.
- Birgit wears Aurelie Lecuyer pants, a Masscob top, and bag from VereVerto. Milla wears a Popupshop jumpsuit and Mabo boots.

Now that I have been living in California for several years, I feel the urge to switch the idea of Over the Ocean around and share my favorite American brands with families in Europe. It seems to me like a natural addition. Maybe it is also good right now to show Europe that there are a lot of beautiful things happening here! I am very excited about working on Over The Ocean U.S. and Europe, but at the same time my resolution for the new year is to stay relaxed, not do everything by myself, get enough sleep, and most importantly spend many hours with my family at the beach!" You can find Birgit online and on Instagram.
