While 2020 was undeniably heavy, all of the new babies born this year certainly lightened things up for the families who welcomed them. So, what were all these new babies called?!

While the Social Security Administration won’t release its official report on the names placed on U.S. birth certificates until the spring of 2021 (and it’s sure to be filled with Top 10 standstills like Liam, Noah, Olivia, Emma, etc.), the baby-naming site Nameberry has recently compiled what it calls the top baby names of 2020, taking into consideration the most-searched-for monikers on its site.

Featuring some slight overlap with Babycenter’s Top 200 list (which we published last month), the Nameberry list offers its own perspective and parents searching the site tend to be gravitating towards names that are extra-unique and will set their kiddos apart from the pack at the playground. The Nameberry list notes that boy names ending in “o” (Milo, Arlo, Leo) are extra-hot right now, and for girls, the name Luna reigns supreme—both trends that are likely to go strong in 2021.

Check out the hottest 200 baby names names of 2020 (according to Nameberry), right here:
