Oh, baby names, it’s been a split second since we’ve covered them. And with the Social Security Administration‘s soon-to-be-released official list of the most popular 2016 monikers approaching (conveniently, around Mother’s Day in May), Nameberry has put together its lineup of what it’s predicting will be the rising stars on the list.
No, these won’t be the names you find within the Top 10 (those will continue to be reigning champs like Emma, Olivia, Sophia, Noah, Liam, Mason, etc.). Instead, the site is pulling together what it sees as the underdogs that might rise into the top 25 ranks over the next decade or so.
Some of the trends Nameberry points out include vintage-sounding names, nature- and celebrity-inspired options, pop culture references, and 3-letter monikers. Without further ado, 20+ of the site’s trending baby names predictions (and more on their reasoning, here!). Are any of these the name you chose for your kiddo?
